Printsmith Software listening ports
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009Printsmith software listens on port 5800, 5901. Remote access applications that use these ports will conflict with the PrintSmith software. You will have to disable the RA software to connect to the PrintSmith host.
You may re-enable the RA software after you have connected to the host.
Applications known to have this conflict. Teamviewer and TightVNC.
This post is a result of a client spending hours on the phone with PrintSmith tech support. They were told repeatedly the client could not connect to the host due to a time synchronization error. We resolved the issue in less than 5 minutes.
