Don’t Panic!

First, don’t panic!!! We receive so many calls from clients that are panicking about viruses.

Here are some steps to try to deal with viruses.

  1. Update your antivirus program by doing an internet update.
  2. Run a full virus scan on your computer. (delete any viruses found)
  3. Restart your computer, run the full virus scan again.
  4. If you still have virus activity after all this, you need professional help.

DO NOT:

  1. Purchase software that claims it will remove this virus from your computer.
  2. Google search and frantically download the first software that claims to remove the virus
  3. Attempt to delete items from the registry based on a random search of the virus on a search engine.

Internet Marketing, Website, BLOG, Email Campaign, Newsletter.

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

In this time of economic downturn make the most out of the technology you already have.

A website is a great tool to provide your potential and existing clients information about new products and services.

A BLOG is even better. It allows you to keep your current website with all the most important information while providing frequent updates about your business, products, services, even your staff.

An email campaign is a great way to reach out to your existing clients. They already have a relationship with you. They know and trust you, your products and services. Your clients want to know when you are offering new products, services and special promotions.

Newsletters are another way to better inform your existing clients. These are the people that keep your business going. Don’t forget them, don’t forget the 80/20 rule.

Call us if you need a website, blog, or help with your internet marketing. We offer a very professional, low cost, turn key package.

Losing wireless internet signal, lost internet connection

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Wireless internet operates on the 2.4GHz radio frequency. The same frequency as many cordless telephones.

If you have a 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz cordless telephone this could be the issue. 5.8GHz cordless phones often times, are dual band, using the 2.4GHz band to send or receive and the 5.8GHz band to send or receive.

For troubleshooting purposes power off the cordless phone and see how your internet works. Then, power the cordless phone back up and make a telephone call. Did you lose internet connectivity? (actually, you’re losing wireless network connectivity between your computer and your router) Better yet, have someone call your landline while your browsing the web. Did you get disconnected when the phone call came in?

A simple solution is to replace your 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz cordless telephone with the older 900MHz version. You could always do away with the cordless phone all-together.

Either way, we’re always here te help. Call us if you have any questions.
